I’m an Art Director and multidisciplinary designer who enjoys turning strategy into visual ideas that people can connect with.
My experience spans integrated campaigns, brand identity, graphic design, photography, photo art direction, storyboarding and on-set production across video, out-of-home, social, digital, email and print. I’ve contributed creative work for brands and organizations including Minnesota Lottery, Target, Fleet Farm, Dunwoody College, Cub Foods, Hostess and Penumbra Theatre.
What I enjoy most is the full creative process: understanding the problem, developing the concept, collaborating with the right people and carrying the idea through execution. I’ve worked alongside designers, copywriters, producers, directors, photographers and stylists, and I’ve also had opportunities to direct and review creative work and mentor emerging talent.
My path into the creative industry is a little unconventional. I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering before deciding to pursue photography professionally and eventually expanding into design and art direction. Although I chose a different career direction, engineering continues to influence how I work. It taught me to think through a process from beginning to end, solve problems without overlooking the details, learn new tools quickly and approach design with both creativity and structure.
Today, I’m most interested in opportunities where I can continue developing strong visual ideas, collaborate with talented creative teams and contribute across art direction, brand design, photography and integrated campaign work.
